# Missing jurisdiction

Every PermitCore error is [RFC 9457](https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9457)
`application/problem+json`. **Branch on `type` (a stable URI)**, not on `title`
or `detail` (human-readable, may change).

## When it occurs

The request needs a `jurisdiction` (or equivalent geographic scope) to run and none was provided, so it was rejected rather than scanning the entire dataset.

## How to fix

Add a `jurisdiction=<slug>` filter (or the endpoint's documented geo filter) and resubmit.

**Not retryable** — fix the request before resubmitting; retrying unchanged returns the same error.
